#12 Video For the Future Classroom

Video #1 was a basic play by play of what the new technology that we have available in this time at use for classrooms and schools. Simply things like QR codes for reminders, casting images onto the screens from a smaller electronic are all things we can do now, but are implementing them into schools yet.

Video #2 has a narrator explaining to future teacher, current teacher, administrators and all other personal in school about how technology is taking over our time. In this upcoming generation, we have to grow the schools resources and tools to allow the students to grow in their learning. I loved the quote “I should not have to keep up with school, my school should keep up with me.” This gives the author point of view a valid point.

Video #3 gives a prime example of why schools are so far behind on technology. Student as extremely comfortable with iPads and laptops and other gadgets, but schools struggle to provide them for their students. With Norway’s livings coming from the oil field and it soon could come to an end, their schools need to be implementing the RIGHT usage of technology in the classrooms. Norway is said to send the most money on schools than most countries, but yet their scores are average and their dropout rates are high. Norway has to do something to intrigue the students to learn and stimulate their materials they learn. The author’s point of view is a strong example of how to CORRECTLY use the technology, get the teachers involved of using the technology right, and have the right way for students to learn and be hands on.

Video #4 if the architect and the designers use a creative way to change the layouts of the schools in ways that benefit everyone. Little things like windows in the gym and no built in seats in the auditorium could make a huge difference in such ways. Having a different atmosphere than just sitting in rows and seats in the classroom is less than beneficial to 20% of students. The interactiveness and allowing the creativity to flow from students uses most aspects of the curriculum that need to be met. Open spaces help the students feel more relaxed and free. The freedom lets them avoid distractions and implement group work. The author’s point of view is great for the older classroom settings. I don't believe that these tools that the author is using would be beneficial to younger, developing children.

Video #5 is full of resources for all teachers, new, experienced, whatever. This videos gives you so many useful  site and programs to use in your classrooms to improve student learning and engagement. Some of these I have heard of, but for the majority of them, I have not. I saved this link for my future use as a teacher.

Video #6 gives the opportunity for the teachers to seek out their point of views based upon the use of technology in the classroom. They explain how they use it, the time spent, what student learn, how students can voice themselves, and how to incorporate all students, even the shy ones. The teachers have valid points based upon the technology and can show how using it in the classroom benefits so much!
